The Royal Arch - Haggai 2:23
Darius, King of Persia gave the command for the Israelites to suffer no hindrance in returning to their land and rebuilding their city and the Temple of God. Three Most Excellent Masters humbly traveled under the protection of the Great I AM to be examined by the four Veils of the Tabernacle. Once admitted, they were presented to the Excellent Grand Council, consisting of Haggai, Zerubbabel and Joshua, the High Priest. The Three Most Excellent Masters then presented the following Signet to Zerubbabel which was recorded by Haggai in Holy Scripture, “In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith the LORD, and will make thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee, saith the LORD of hosts.” To this the High Priest exclaimed, “The Signet of Zerubbabel, which means TRUTH!” The Three Most Excellent Masters then labored to rebuild the temple and found a box buried within the ruins of the first Temple, located within a vault bearing the keystone of Grand Master Hiram Abiff. They presented their great discovery to the Excellent Grand Council for inspection, who found that it was an imitation of the Ark of the Covenant, containing several sacred treasures from the first Temple, and a Key. By proper use of the Key and under a living Arch, the Excellent Grand Council was able to find the true long lost word of a Master Mason! The whole company exclaimed in sheer adoration and joy, “Holiness to the Lord!”
